[Elle's totally alone in the woods. Yes, completely alone, not planning on meeting anybody. Definitely not that nerdy counselor. It's not like she has a very very secret, though admittedly huge, crush on him. No, the hunky lifeguard is the only adult she's interested in.
Now if only any of those things were actually true.]

"You look nice. I like your hair."

"Thanks." [She glances down for a moment before leaning in to kiss him again.]

"We should eat." [Another kiss.] "It'll get cold." [Another kiss.]

"So let's keep doing it." [She kisses him again.]

Instead of replying verbally, he responds physically. The hand intertwined with hers detaches to move to her opposite hip, both hands now dipping beneath the border of her shirt to run lightly across her skin. His mouth moves on hers, lips slowly parting to allow her to go further.]

"Can we just... look at the stars or something?" [It's not any kind of rejection, and she grabs his hand again hoping he'll get that. Making out is fun and all, but she feels like actually doing something romantic would mean more.]

Gabriel rolls from his side to his back to look up at the stars as she suggested, trying to steady his nerves. He just wants everything to be perfect. One hand is resting on his stomach now, the other holding hers. Instantly transitioning, he uses their combined hands to point up at a constellation.] "There's Orion! Do you see it?"
no subject
She doesn't know anything about stars.] "Where?" [She looks along their hands, trying to figure out what he's pointing at. There are a couple stars brighter than the others, but nothing that means anything to her.]

[Elle is right. This time spent together is much more enjoyable than whatever sexual pursuits they could have enjoyed. It's much nicer to care about her and to enjoy her company than to simply enjoy her body and be done with it.]

[His tone is teasing, accompanying his smile, and he drops their joined hands gently back to the ground again.]

She bites her lip and turns her attention back to the sky.] "Okay, where's Gemini?"
I'm fine to skip ahead/assume the rest if you ever want. I don't want to be boring. xD
[There's still a smile on his lips and in his tone as he points it out, just loving spending this time with her.]
totally up to you! I'm not bored, but I'm cool with assuming
She grabs a corner of the blanket and pulls it over them. Even though it's a warm summer night, she likes being practically cocooned in a makeshift sleeping bag.]
NEVAR!
[He leans his head against hers again, the hand on her shoulder beginning to gently caress her arm there in a subtle and affectionate gesture.]
I'LL JUST ASSUME THAT MEANS WE'RE THREADING THIS UNTIL THE END OF TIME THEN
Well, yeah... OHTHANKS, ask the one question that does not exist in canon..
LOLSORRY
She looks back over at Cancer.] "If... that's the body..." [she gestures to a sort of rectangle-ish shape,] "then maybe those are the claws." [She points at two other stars that could form lines of the rectange-ish thing.] "I can kinda see it."
I FORGIVE YOU.... this time. [dun dun duuuuuun]
"There you go! Now, find an elephant. Make one, like connecting the dots."

"What should we name it? We'll have to pass it down through the generations." [There's a small laugh accompanying the idea, then an awkward shift as he realizes what could be interpreted from what he's said.] "I mean, tell it to other people.. not our kids. That we don't have."
no subject
She fidgets awkwardly when he mentions the kids they don't have. She's only seventeen, but if she's going to have kids somewhere down the line... it'll probably be with Gabriel. He's the nicest guy she knows, anyway.] "Right. Other people."
no subject
[He swallows and resumes his subtle affection, hoping she'll pretend that never happened.]

"We have our very own constellation. Horton, the elephant." [His tone suggests it's the most rare and magical gift they might receive.] "You and I, Elle.. In spite of everything. We're really pretty good together."

"I love you, Elle." [It wasn't the first time he had said it, but the only time where he was entirely solemn and sincere about the sentiment.]
