What really happens when you graduate? You just go back home and everybody acts like you never died and that's that? End of story?

[private to Howie]

Serious question. You fix me, you put me all back together again and somebody somewhere deems me fit and good and ready to blow this dump. And then what? Am I just supposed to, I dunno... be a waitress?

I didn't talk to anybody. I found out that nobody back home knows what I did. They don't know about my scars. I couldn't afford to talk to anyone.

Besides, the people that I care about back home are either dead or I tried to kill them.

So the point of going home was...?

I have no idea. Heck, I didn't know what was going to happen until I went back home. Maybe the point was show me that I'm better needed here?

Don't worry about what comes next. Just worry about getting there.

Why should I worry about getting there if nothing worth it comes next?

You don't know if it's worth it or not until it happens.

Was it worth it for you, Warden Dent?

I think it was, Inmate Elle.
