Aaaaadaaaaaaam.

Peter said you had cookies! And you should share with everyone, even if their dog is cuter than any of yours! And Peter said he wouldn't mind letting you play with the puppy, so we'll share him if you share with us!

And can we have ice cream too please? We both like chocolate chip cookie dough.

[ooc: Elle got hit by the Five Years Old flood, and now she desperately wants cookies.]

Elle? Hey. How are you handling this?

...

This floor seems safer than some of the others. If you need anything, send me to get it, okay?

[identity profile] tadwizard.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Right. Well I...have no idea why I'm a girl.

[identity profile] tadwizard.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Because some people have been getting hurt and I want to make sure none of the bad things get you. And I have a tootsie roll. Do you like tootsie rolls?

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. We're in room five, but grownups have to get a pass to stay for more than a few minutes. You can apply for one at the border.

[identity profile] tadwizard.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
The border? Okay, I'll apply.

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[Elle sits diligently in the doorway of room 5, holding the application form she'd made and waiting for Tony to show.]

[identity profile] tadwizard.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[And Tony soon did, walking up to the girl. She didn't mind filling out any application forms Elle wanted, since all she wanted to do was keep an eye on Elle so she wouldn't do anything dangerous like wander up to the fourth floor or run into a killer whose age hadn't been regressed.]

"Hi, Elle. Is that the application? Do you have a crayon or something for me to fill it out with?"

[It couldn't be near as bad playing along with little Elle's games as it was with big Elle.]

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"No, all I have is this pen. But I'll ask the questions and you can just answer them, okay?"

[Elle bent over the piece of paper she'd written on.]

"Name?"

[Of course, she knew Tony's name, but you had to go through all the details, because they were important. Daddy had taught her that.]

[identity profile] tadwizard.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Okay."

[Tony felt stupid asking about a crayon when she had a pen, but she was a little girl, so it's what he expected. Then again, it was a little girl in an adult's room, and that made a rather large difference.]

"Tony Foster."

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-01-23 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[Biting the tip of her tongue on concentration, Elle wrote that down. Then she moved on to the next question.]

"Do you have anything to declare?"

[identity profile] tadwizard.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Do I have anything to declare?"

What was she asking? Anything to declare for going into the room? She wasn't even quite sure what that meant. It sounded like a real phrase she might have heard, but since he didn't recognize it, she probably wouldn't either.

"I declare that I'm going to give you a tootsie roll."

With that, she pulled a tootsie roll out of his pocket and handed it to her. To get any more treats, she'd have to brave the hallways of the Barge for long enough to get to the dining hall.

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
"Ooh, yay!"

[Elle took the tootsie roll from Tony and ate it enthusiastically, her form completely forgotten.

She gave him the sternest face she could while still chewing.]

"You can go in. Even though bribery's illegal, I'll let you get away with it just this once."

[identity profile] tadwizard.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
"All right, I'll keep that in mind," Tony said with a grin before walking in.

That was easy, she thought, walking in. Seeing a brown puppy, Tony bent down and pet him.
