Aye, but lying is immoral. God will know if I lie, and the truth is important. I am not a liar.

I have told you about my death, about... all sorts of things and I haven't lied. Why would I lie about something like that? And if I tell you the truth about being burned alive, why would I lie to you about anything else?

No, it's not creepy. It means He's always watching out for you too. It means He doesn't miss any of the bad deeds you do, but it also means He knows when you do good.

He's God, not... a creepy next door neighbour.

The difference is that He does it because He loves us and cares about us, and really, just wants to look after us. We're His creation, after all. He wouldn't be much of a God if He didn't know everything. Omnipotence and omnscience come together.
