088 - VOICE

GET THEM OFF ME! Who the hell brought these headless rats on board? I swear to god I'll kill you!

[ooc: In the background is the sound of ANGRY TRIBBLES. In her ongoing tradition of fail, Elle got mobbed, electrocuted everything in sight, and is now running through the halls being attacked by a bunch of singed tribbles.]

...it's better than electrocuting them.

Don't you think they're sort of cute nice? At all?

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
They're gross and they've been trying to smother me. Who'd think these things were cute?

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Spend five minutes not trying to kill one. They've got this really...calming thing going off, and I can't quite explain it.

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
They're probably just trying to lure you into a false sense of security.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
They're little balls of fluff. I doubt they're that intelligent or cunning.

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, 'cause animals never have things built-in to help them hunt.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
These things aren't hunting you, though. Our food supply? Perhaps. Not you.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
...just because there were a lot of them doesn't mean they were aggressive.

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
They were flinging themselves at me and trying to bite me. Do they have to grow arms and rip my head off to count as aggressive?

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
No, but they might need to grow teeth before they can try to bite you.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Not many people assume that things without teeth are attacking. Or even capable of attack.

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I got the impression they were attacking around the time one of them plastered itself on my face so I couldn't breathe while a bunch of others hurled themselves repeatedly at me.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
And this was before or after you attacked them?

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
After. But they kinda jumped all over me before.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
And it never occured to you that they might not be...

Alright. But try not to assume in the future that things, or people, are intent on hurting you. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
You should talk to the Tribble Whisperer, maybe plot a two-pronged lecture. Or alternate wise sayings, get them out of the way faster.

bwahaha. my characters should stop tag-teaming her. :D

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
The only difference being that I got rid of them without electrocuting them or skewering them on a sword.

no never, I love Elle getting tag-teamed :c

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
What did you do, toss them overboard?

...I didn't even mean for them to do it, that's the best thing.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that's the ultimate plan, yes.

[identity profile] cautionarystory.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
You think they'll survive out there?

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably not, no. It's still less cruel.

[identity profile] kingfor-aday.livejournal.com 2009-11-30 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not denying that it's necessary to get rid of them, one way or another. I'm just saying there are sensible ways of doing it and ways which are going to antagonise them.
